We used to climb onto that rooftop at sunset to watch as the world unfolded around us. The city seemed to have a life of its own, caring little about our presence.
Being up there was a refuge; it offered a brief escape from reality. For a moment, we felt liberated, without fears.
Our simple task was savoring the present on our minds.
